Aloe vera plants – division of babies

Posted by on May 4th 2010

I was given an aloe vera plant which has grown happily on the window sill away from direct sun; and after about a year or so it has developed two baby plants.  Here are the pictures of the repotting operation, carried out in a friend’s greenhouse:-

When the earth comes off the plant, the baby plants are very easily detached!

The aloe vera plant stems contain a gel, which is almost liquid, that is very good for cuts and skin complaints. Nature really does provide all we need!!
