Building a rocket stove

Posted by on August 1st 2014

At the Experience Week this year at Centre Amma, at Pontgouin (near Chartres), we assembled a rocket stove in a matter of hours on the first day, tested it on the second day and disassembled it on the third.

Day one

Day two – testing

A rocket stove heats in three different ways.  The air is led down, then along into a pipe inside a drum from which the only escape is down again into a horizontal pipe which leads to the chimney.  See here for a detailed discussion.
