Rooftop gardens

On Saturday I went with Oxfordshire Master Composters to visit the rooftop garden at RISC, in the centre of Reading.  RISC is the Reading International Solidarity Centre, a charity with premises in London St.  On the ground floor is the World Shop and a café, and on the roof is a carefully constructed edible forest garden, full of plants (and trees!) which are edible, medicinal or useful.

See the pictures below and the RISC website.

This site attempts to gather material and interested people concerned with Amma's environmental initiative. The more the merrier! I hope that people will start to take part in this enterprise in their own lives as well as sharing what they know.
