Has anyone seen The People’s Supermarket, now on Channel 4?  If not, hurry to 4od.

This programme shows you how supermarkets really work, and in particular the waste most of them generate.  It also shows how someone with a little skill can find food for nothing, and make tasty meals for much less than they expect.

The most amazing thing to me is finding that shoppers expect to find particular goods, e.g. straight cucumbers, instead of looking at what is in front of them and learning that nature produces, surprise surprise, curly cucumbers.

What do you think?
